The British Australian Pensioner Association (BAPA) was founded in 1985,
under its initial title of the Australian British Pensioners Trust Fund,
in order to campaign against against the iniquitous, arbitrary and
unfair selective indexation of the UK Retirement Pension. During the
initial discussions with the Australian government it became obvious
that to ensure a greater degree of credence and accountability they
would be best served by becoming an Incorporated Association and in
consequence their Constitution was promulgated and Incorporation was
granted in 1995.

British Pensions in Australia (BPiA) is an association of volunteer
expatriate British State pensioners, challenging the UK government's
discriminatory, immoral pension legislation, which causes our UK
pensions and those in Canada, South Africa and NZ to remain "frozen";
but in the USA, EU, Israel and some 20+ other countries, the UK State
pension is regularly increased for inflation.
